Proud Partner of Seattle Humane

Allie – Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix

As long as it takes.

At Seattle Humane, animals are given the love, care, and time that they need to find the home of their dreams. Seattle Humane (SH) is an open-door shelter that accepts every animal that’s in need of their help, regardless of their breed, age, behavioral challenges, or physical condition. And SH never puts a time limit on helping each animal find a home. SH takes in animals from across the state – and sometimes beyond – who have been abandoned, abused, or who have suffered catastrophic injuries. These are the cases that many smaller shelters can’t take on, but thanks to the generous support of donors, SH can work with area shelters and help these animals heal, body, mind, and soul. SH’s veterinary teams can perform life-saving medical procedures, their foster families can help animals learn what it means to be a part of a family, and their adoption counselors can help each animal and each adopter find the perfect match. In fiscal year 2015/2016 alone, SH helped nearly 7,000 animals find homes – pets like sweet Allie, who’s still looking for love and just needs a bit more time to find a home.

Three-year-old Allie is an enthusiastic Siberian Husky/German Shepherd mix who has faced challenges in her past, but thanks to the support she has received from Seattle Humane, she’s ready to start the next chapter in her life. Allie is an intelligent, eager girl who can be a little shy at first, but she’ll thrive with a patient, loving, trustworthy guardian.

Allie is searching for an adult-only, cat-free home and any resident dogs will be required to meet her prior to adoption. To ensure that Allie finds the perfect home, potential adopters will need to do the following:

1)   Meet with the Seattle Humane Adoption Team for initial advising

2)   Have a discussion with the SH Behavior Team regarding Allie’s behavior and a management plan

3)   Decide whether you’d like to meet Allie

Allie, like all of the animals that SH helps, has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and behavior tested. Does Allie sound like she might be the right match for you? If you’d like to learn more about her, please click her to see the full profile.
